I keep hating on Kanye, but no longer will I pretend to hate on his music because he’s just got it. From production, to lyrics, to freestyle, to (swag) influence; he’s just the wunderkind of this generation. Challenge the prodigy if you dare.
Mos Def and Kanye showed up at Lupe Fiasco’s show at the Blue Note Jazz Club and they brought the feeling back to a groovy, basement party with a smooth J. Dilla beat. And, when each lyricist entered the cypher to speak their piece the hoots and hollers rioted like a high school band’s horns at the Macy’s Day Parade.
